HISTORY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DPMPTSP CITY OF SAMARINDA
Based on the Circular of the Minister of Home Affairs Number: 503/123/PUOD dated January 16, 1997 concerning the Establishment of an Integrated Licensing Service Unit (UPT) in the regions and Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number: 25 of 1998 regarding One-Stop Services in the Regions. On this basis the Mayor of Samarinda issued Decree Number 13 of 1998 concerning the Establishment of Level II Regional Service Units for the City of Samarinda and Mayor Decree Number 73 of 2001 dated 26 November 2001 concerning the Establishment of Organizational Structure and Work Procedures of Service Branches and Service Technical Service Units (UPTD) at the Regional Revenue Service of Samarinda City.
In order to improve service quality and to facilitate coordination with stake holders, the UPTD Licensing status was upgraded to the Samarinda City One-Stop Integrated Licensing Service Agency (BPPTSP) based on Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2008 concerning Organization and Work Procedures of the Inspectorate, Bappeda and regional technical agencies of Samarinda City Article 54 paragraph 4 and Mayor of Samarinda's instructions No. 01 of 2009 concerning the Implementation of One-Stop Integrated Licensing Services.
In December 2016, the Samarinda City One-Stop Integrated Licensing Services Agency joined the Samarinda City Regional Investment Board in accordance with Samarinda City Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2016 concerning the Formation and Structure of Regional Apparatuses. This merger is to fulfill the mandate in Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 97 of 2014, in article 6 paragraph 1 that one of the licensing services is related to the investment sector. So that now the name has changed to the Samarinda City Investment and One-Stop Service Office, which is shortened to DPMPTSP.
